Product Engineering Under Ambiguity
I can move from a rough customer problem to the product shape, data model, interface, backend contract, release plan, and launch surface.
Proof, with context
I did sales before engineering, startups before big tech, and founder work before the latest AI models made small-team execution explode. My best fit is a role where customer instinct, product taste, and engineering execution all matter.
sales, startup ops, product, engineering, and founder work
Get Mentors, LiveVault, and Our Little World
App Store, Google Play, and native mobile ownership
React Native production work at consumer-company scale
I sit in the middle of product, AI, engineering, and GTM. That is the point: I can help decide what should exist, then build enough of it to learn from reality.
I can move from a rough customer problem to the product shape, data model, interface, backend contract, release plan, and launch surface.
I use embeddings, pgvector, semantic retrieval, streaming chat, data enrichment, validation, and AI coding workflows as product tools, not demos.
I learned sales before engineering, so discovery, positioning, onboarding, activation, pricing, launch strategy, and distribution are part of how I build.
The work below is intentionally broad because the roles I want reward range: turning messy customer problems into products, then owning enough of the stack to ship.
Founder / Senior Mobile Engineer
Left FanDuel to build the startup I had wanted since I was 21, then rebuilt it from the ground up after hard lessons around market, product shape, and GTM.
Now a live AI-guided mentorship product across mobile, web, backend, semantic retrieval, streaming chat, mentor boards, goal journeys, release pipelines, and marketing automation.
Founder / Product Engineer
Conceived and built an AI-forward listening product with a senior UI/UX designer for one of the deepest live music archives on the internet.
Proof that I can turn a messy archive and passionate community into a structured product system with search, source comparison, offline UX, and AI-guide direction.
Founder / Mobile Engineer
Built a private family memory product after seeing how bad the default camera-roll experience is for preserving a child's early life.
Proof that I can build emotionally sensitive consumer software with family auth, baby timelines, milestones, letters, invites, photo discovery, and native face matching.
Full-stack builder
Built and shipped a memorial website for my dad in roughly five days, including stories, gallery, admin CMS, comments, reactions, emails, and private family areas.
Proof of speed, care, taste, resilience, and full-stack execution under real emotional stakes.
Software Engineer
Moved from bootstrapped startup engineering into the largest engineering organization I had worked in, building production OTT and sportsbook surfaces.
Proof of production engineering inside a scaled consumer sports product organization.
Lead Software Developer
After the development team quit, I took on full-stack mobile ownership, built backend features, designed product flows, and helped lead the next version of the app.
Proof of mobile ownership, product judgment, team leadership, and execution in a messy production environment with 4k+ users.
Career narrative
It gave me customer instinct. Engineering gave me execution. Founder work forced me to own product, GTM, and the hard middle where products either become useful or drift.
Startup apprenticeship
I moved to San Francisco, shared a room with a founder, worked from cafes, helped with decks, QA, customer work, and investor-facing material, and learned what early startup life actually feels like up close.
Sales and operations
I followed Brad Lea and Lightspeed VT to Las Vegas, moved from customer success into sales and operations at 23, then worked with Dan Lear training sales teams at dealerships and solar companies while selling seminar tickets on the road.
Self-taught engineering
I came home, went through a coding boot camp, taught myself React Native on the couch, and turned a coworking-space relationship into the internship that became my first real engineering job.
Mobile ownership
At Crew Me Up, the development team quit and I had to build full-stack features, product flows, and the next version of the app. At Next Gen HQ, I built the React Native app from scratch with a lean product, design, web, and backend team.
Scaled production
After three years of bootstrapped engineering, I joined FanDuel and worked on production OTT and sportsbook surfaces inside the largest engineering organization I had been part of.
Founder chapter
Get Mentors took me through the hard questions: raise or bootstrap, B2B or B2C, who the customer is, what the product should be, and which rabbit holes were distractions. The last six months of AI tooling finally made the pace match the ambition.
Put me near ambiguous AI product problems, customers who need useful systems, and a team that values high-agency execution. I am strongest when I can help define the problem, build the product, and pressure-test the GTM story.
